IS-CS: The Social Challenges of the Arab- Israeli Conflict
This course examines some of the sensitive issues for which Israel is
being assailed in the outside world in general and the student world
in particular. Participants will examine the issues of Israeli Arabs and
Palestinians and the peace process. They will then analyze the question
of the right of a democracy to defend itself and whether Israel is within
its rights or is exceeding them. Finally,they will look into the bilateral
relations between Israel and the governments and societies of the
West, and explore strategies to improve Israel's image in the eyes of the
world.
