Our eLearning
Our eLearning eAcademy courses are taught by experts in their fields and brought directly to you through our own blended learning format. All the courses are delivered entirely over the Internet, with no physical classroom meetings. They are designed using asynchronous (not "real time") and synchronous (same place, same time) learning platforms.
The asynchronous platform allows you to participate at any time -24 hours a day; 7 days a week-from any Internet connection anywhere in the world, thus allowing you to maximize your time spent learning right where you are. Students work with course materials at their own convenience and become part of a global learning community through the use of collaborative tools such as discussion groups. Learning takes place through a combination of assigned readings, class discussions, instructor feedback, and writing assignments. Students can expect to invest between two to six hours each week per course, much of which will be devoted to online discussions. Occasional synchronous events are pre-planned so that students will have advance time to plan their schedules. Through these events students will have the opportunity to meet in "real time" with their instructors or special guests. Our courses are suitable for people with even the most basic understanding of computers.
Our online learning environment creates a feeling of unity among Jewish communities around the world. Students form close connections to each other, building up a network of people who can exchange ideas for future projects and common goals. The student will sense a strong feeling of community just by being part of this exciting educational experience. To participate, all you need is a computer with a basic Internet connection and you're ready to tap into eAcademy's vast and virtual world of knowledge.
